Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate manual surface grinders and other precision grinding equipment.
  • Grind and finish tooling to tight tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
  • Read blueprints and follow detailed specifications.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain equipment and keep a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating manual/vintage surface grinders (non-CNC required).
  • Background as a tool & die maker, machinist, manual machinist, precision grinder, millwright, carpenter with precision fabrication experience, or automotive machinist/mechanic is highly transferable.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with precision measurements.
  • Able to work independently and produce high-quality work.
