The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for sales related activities for Emission Catalysts, accounts, servicing existing accounts, developing new customers and markets, implementing innovative "value added" bundled solutions for customers, and reporting monthly sales performance to management. Technically, the Sales Manger is responsible for sales and to help customers solve technical issues and to layout design of our products for specific customer projects.
By building strong technical relationships with key clients, The Technical Sales Manager drives the expansion of the product portfolio of environmental precious metal emission catalysts with focus on both classical mobile and stationary emission abatement systems.
Your Role and Responsiblities:
  • Preparing annual regional sales budget
  • Submit sales forecast
  • Ensuring the achievement of the regional sales budget
  • Build excellent relations to key customers
  • Pursuing new emission customers based on strategic sales plan to grow business.
  • Work with reporting manager to set pricing strategy for new business
  • Negotiation of contracts with new customers
  • Providing evaluations on market situation, industry trends, technology trends and competitive environment for strategic planning
  • Supports customers in the use of our products in their production design
  • Helps customers to solve technical issues
  • Supports customers in the production ramp-up of new products (P1, P3, PPAP, serial production)
  • Solving issues in customers' applications with respect to emission standards/legislation
  • Evaluates market, industry and technology trends and communicates routinely with R&D
  • Providing the technical and sales information to customer
  • Clarification for new requirements of existing products

What is required for the job:
  • 5+ years of work experience in environmental emission catalyst industry. BS Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (specialization in catalysis and advanced degree incl. a PhD is a plus)
  • Knowledge about current Emission Legislation.
  • Strong ability to understand customer needs and to generate value for our global clients
  • Self-starter and strategic thinker with agile Project Management skills
  • Willingness to travel (25-50%)
