Intervention Specialist for Middle/High School ED Classroom
Position Description
  • Manage classroom and implements appropriate programs
  • Develop and implements IEPs
  • Conduct and participate in team meetings
  • Supervise classroom assistants

Essential Functions
  • Ensure safety of students
  • Develop schedules and lesson plans for classroom appropriate to student's IEPs
  • Develop and implement behavior management plans
  • Communicate with classroom assistants necessary information for student program implementation
  • Maintain a classroom that is conducive to learning
  • Interact in a positive manner with staff, students and parents
  • Demonstrate a positive work ethic

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university
  • Appropriate State of Ohio teaching license (Intervention Specialist)
  • Experience and/or training which evidences the ability to instruct students with severe behavioral challenges
