Plaintiff Litigation Attorney

  • Compensation range: $75,000 – $150,000 based on experience

Qualifications

  • Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
  • 3+ years of plaintiff personal injury trial litigation experience
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure and personal injury law
  • Experience handling litigation matters from pre-suit through trial preparation
  • Experience taking and defending depositions, attending hearings, and negotiating settlements
  • Proficient in case management software, including Filevine or similar platforms
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and courtroom advocacy skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Manage a personal injury litigation caseload from inception through resolution
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, referral sources, and prospective clients
  • Conduct regular file reviews and strategy meetings with litigation staff
  • Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and oversee litigation strategy
  • Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances
  • Prepare cases for trial and support all trial efforts, including courtroom preparation and litigation strategy
  • Assess case value and negotiate settlements in the best interest of clients
  • Monitor case deadlines and ensure compliance with court orders and procedural requirements
  • Collaborate with partners and staff to ensure proactive case movement and efficient file handling
  • Assist in training and mentoring litigation staff working on assigned files
  • Participate in networking and business development opportunities to support firm growth
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment while delivering exceptional client service
