About This RoleSequoyah Hills Early Enrichment Program, a Tennessee Department of Human Services private church preschool, seeks a Pre K Lead Teacher to manage the classroom and support student learning in a play-based, hands-on environment aligned with pre k readiness standards.
What You'll Do*Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans, aligned with TDHS licensing requirements and pre k readiness standards, to promote student growth and engagement.*Create a safe, structured, and happy classroom environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual
development.*Support the social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual development of children through observation, documentation, and
assessment.*Communicate effectively, respectfully, and frequently with parents to ensure strong relationships and student success.*Maintain accurate student records and licensing documentation, and comply with all TDHS and Sequoyah Hills Early Enrichment Program policies and
procedures.*Collaborate with the assistant teacher, director, and other staff members to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.*Model Christian values through words and actions, demonstrating a commitment to the program’s mission and values.*
Requirements*Must meet all TDHS childcare licensing requirements, including Background Check and Fingerprinting, Health examination and TB screening, Completion of all required TDHS training, and CPR/First Aid
certification.*Ability to uphold the mission and values of Sequoyah Hills Early Enrichment
Program.*Experience working with 4-5 year olds as a pre k teacher, or as a kindergarten teacher.*Strong classroom management and communication skills.*CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
