Senior Specialist, C&I Buildings
Location: US Remote

To support our growth and accelerate our ability to scale, we are currently seeking a Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Solutions Senior Specialist for our Utility Programs & Services division to help transform and scale ICF's utility program offerings at a national level. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, C&I Solutions Lead, you will be responsible for bringing market perspectives and technical expertise to our clients and your colleagues across North America. This includes pre- and post-sales support, evolving our C&I offerings and helping to elevate our performance on existing contracts. . You will work with and coordinate with our talented team of C&I subject matter experts (SMEs) who design, develop and deliver our national programs offerings across all regions in the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, you will support local teams to standardize approaches and best practices to optimize delivery and cost effectiveness across the program offerings.

What you will be doing:
  • Work in partnership with local teams in developing and supporting business and development capture activities, and assisting with proposal responses; including, market research, savings projections, and drafting proposal text.
  • Assist with evolving and developing C&I offerings in partnership with C&I Offering Managers and SMEs and work across functional teams within ICF and with outside partners to ensure successful sales, start up and delivery of our offerings across North America.
  • Provide technical leadership in the development and deployment of commercial and industrial energy solutions, including building electrification, demand-side management, flexible load strategies, DERs, and grid-interactive efficient buildings.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, market trends, and technical best practices to support new offering development and enhance client outcomes.
  • Support technical assessments, energy savings analyses, and solution development activities that inform program design, customer engagement strategies, and business development efforts.
  • Support standardized approaches and best practices are implemented across local teams resulting in optimized delivery and cost effectiveness of program offering.
  • Provide thought leadership on ICF's C&I offerings, speaking at conferences / webinars, serving on boards / committees and similar tasks.

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in the design, construction, operation, or optimization of commercial and industrial buildings, with expertise in energy efficiency, building systems, electrification, distributed energy resources (DERs), utility programs, or related technical disciplines.

  • Master's degree in business administration, engineering, or related field.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities and assess competition.
  • Ability to establish influential partnerships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a cross functional team (both in-person and virtual).
  • Experience in the energy sector especially C&I energy efficiency, demand reduction and/or flexible load management.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering grid interactive efficient buildings, microgrids and/or DER solutions for the C&I sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and quality assurance/control theories, techniques and application.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$108,476.00 - $184,409.00
