Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Hospice Admissions

Company: Capital City Hospice
Location: Central Ohio
Employment Type: Full-Time - 4 10-hour shifts including every other weekend


Job Summary

Capital City Hospice is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hospice Admissions team. This role is responsible for conducting pre-admission assessments, educating patients and families, and initiating hospice care services. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, clinically strong, and committed to delivering high-quality end-of-life care.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-admission evaluations to determine eligibility and appropriateness for hospice services
  • Educate patients and families on hospice philosophy, care options, and services
  • Initiate admission process and obtain informed consent
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized patient-centered care plans
  • Provide interventions that support comfort, dignity, and quality of life
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to make independent clinical decisions
