UHP partners with leading physician practices, creating a cohesive, quality-oriented clinical culture and facilitating best practice sharing across the platform. Our affiliated practices gain access to a broader suite of services, providing a meaningful benefit to both physicians and patients. UHP's best-in-class clinical program covers three sub-specialties (urology, gastroenterology, and radiation oncology) and offers numerous ancillary services, including pathology lab, in-office dispensing, and chronic care management. We are led by a highly accomplished management team and provide a full suite of management services to its affiliated practices. UHP is currently affiliated with 182 providers consisting of 119 physicians and 63 advanced practice providers operating out of 54 locations across Southern, Central, and Northern California.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Office Coordinator II is responsible for the implementation of front-office services and daily operations of the Physician/s practice. Communication with staff in all departments is paramount in this position, ensuring that the front office operation needs are met effectively and efficiently.

What you will be doing
  • Assist and support the Practice Manager in the daily management of the front office, helping to establish and maintain routine procedures specific to the practice as well as ensure that company policies are followed.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of the Front Office, serve as a resource for front office staff and as a liaison between staff and physicians and/or the Practice Manager.
  • Communicate with back-office staff upon patient arrival. Ensure that instructions and other communications from the Physicians and/or the Practice Manager are conveyed to appropriate personnel.โ€ฏ
  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.โ€ฏ
  • Assist with entering and/or scanning patient information into various medical record systems.
  • Review patient schedule and manage appointment reminder calls to patients.
  • Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care, and concern with each internal and external customer.
  • Notify the physician if there are any schedule changes.โ€ฏ
  • Assist with prescription refills when needed.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures and may serve as the Safety Officer at the respective work site.
  • Support and uphold established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control, and codes and requirements for regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate billing and liaison with billing service.

  • Bilingual in Spanish is required
  • 4-5 years of prior experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws that apply to the duties of this position.
  • Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.
  • Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
