Job Summary
The Program Manager III will be a key member of the Program Management Office (PMO) supporting the Outdoor and Recreation business, set out to develop world-class consumer product innovation into the market. The main responsibility is to lead a global cross-functional team through the stage-gate process in order to develop, commercialize and launch innovative product solutions that meet cost, schedule and scope requirements. Additionally, the PMIII will facilitate both the accuracy and analysis of project planning and report out. The Program Manager III will also lead and coach a team of project managers, building capability, reinforcing consistent PMO practices, and enabling strong delivery across the portfolio.
Job Responsibilities
  • Independently lead New Product Development (NPD) portfolio of various complex project.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of project managers, establishing clear priorities, providing performance feedback, and building consistent PMO capabilities.
  • Facilitate project planning sessions to collaboratively develop standardized timelines for projects.
  • Motivate project team and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Deliver key PMO KPI's of project timing, cost, quality, and budget. Ensure project outputs are consistently high-quality
  • Partner with Brand Marketing and R&D to define project scope & design.
  • Establish formal weekly team meetings & communication methods that drive project execution & completion.
  • Identify, monitor, and recommend risk mitigation plans. Report status of project progress and risks to leadership.
  • Lead post-launch audit output evaluations to recommend advancements for continuous improvement of project execution practices.
  • Communicate project expectations and plans to the project team members, leadership, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.
  • Maintains and applies a broad understanding of financial management principles to ensure decisions are fiscally sound.
  • Lead identification of issues and facilitate resolution within cross functional teams.
  • Utilizes MS Project to develop project schedules with a focus on the critical path.
  • Maintains documentation and database integrity as required by the stage-gate development process and strategized on process improvements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, supply chain, operations, engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in product development and project management required. Consumer products industry experience highly preferred
  • Strong sense of ownership and urgency, with demonstrated ability to drive accountability, proactively resolve issues, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and balance the depth vs breadth on project analysis
  • Ability to diagnosis day-to-day project issues and deploy methods to get projects delivers OTIF (on time in full)
  • Strong focus and ability to facilitate relations between cross-functional teams in various locations.
  • Expertise in predictive, Agile, Stage-gate and hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Strong business acumen and working knowledge of P&L principles and key financial drivers.
  • Familiarity with basic manufacturing processes and production planning.
  • Logical and creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experienced working knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Project and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop cross-functional relationships.
  • Demonstrated logical, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills. Adept at influencing.
  • Highly effective organization and planning skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to clearly and confidently present project and portfolio information to senior leadership.
