Assistant Store Manager
New Liskeard, ON


If you're someone who leads by example, takes ownership of the day-to-day, and enjoys developing people, this role puts you right in the middle of the action. As Assistant Store Manager, you'll support store operations, lead the team on the floor, and help drive performance-safety, service, and results. You'll work closely with the Store Manager to keep things running smoothly, while building a strong, motivated team. Responsibilities

  • Support daily store operations, ensuring safety, service quality, and efficiency
  • Lead and coach team members, including training, scheduling, and performance support
  • Set expectations on the floor and reinforce safe, consistent work practices
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing team members
  • Manage inventory, cash handling, and basic financial reporting
  • Support execution of store plans, targets, and operational priorities
  • Step in at the front counter as needed to support customer service
  • Handle issues on the go, using sound judgment and a practical approach

Requirements

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (retail or service environment preferred)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, support, and hold people accountable
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on work with team leadership
  • Good communication skills and ability to build relationships with both team and customers
  • Organized and able to manage competing priorities
  • Valid driver's license
  • Able to lift 30-50 lbs as part of regular duties
