The Job!

As the Practice Assistant, Litigation, you will provide dedicated administrative and practice support to assigned lawyers while helping coordinate workflow across the broader legal support team. You will play an important role in keeping matters organized, schedules on track, communications professional, and client service running smoothly.


  • Serve as a central point of contact for assigned lawyers, coordinating requests with law clerks, document specialists, administrative professionals, and business services teams.
  • Proactively organize daily workflow and priorities to ensure lawyers receive timely and efficient support across active litigation matters.
  • Coordinate calendars and key dates, including client appointments, court-related deadlines, conferences, and internal legal team meetings.
  • Prepare correspondence, manage communications, and liaise professionally with clients and other stakeholders connected to ongoing files.
  • Contribute to matter administration by supporting file openings, billing processes, collections, and other practice-management activities.
  • Work closely with lawyers and the broader legal team to help maintain a high standard of client service and matter organization.
  • Anticipate day-to-day practice needs, respond to shifting priorities, and provide additional administrative support as matters require.


What you bring to the job

You are a proactive and highly organized legal support professional who takes ownership of your work and communicates with confidence. You work well with multiple stakeholders, manage competing priorities effectively, and bring a collaborative approach to a fast-paced litigation environment.


  • College degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal assistant supporting multiple lawyers within a litigation practice
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote
  • Experience working with document management systems
  • Knowledge of matter administration, including file intake and complex client billing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
  • Professional, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative
