Location: Nellis AFB, NV 89191
Schedule: Monday Friday, (hours may vary)

Position Overview
The Physician Assistant (PA) provides comprehensive medical care within their scope of practice, supporting both primary and specialty healthcare services for eligible beneficiaries. The PA will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, promote preventive health practices, and support the operational and medical readiness mission.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide a full range of Physician Assistant services in primary and specialty care within the limits of training and privileges.
• Conduct patient screenings, physical examinations, and manage routine, acute, chronic, and minor trauma conditions.
• Administer immunizations and provide treatment, counseling, and follow-up care.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency medical conditions.
• Deliver outpatient healthcare and perform occupational, deployment, and military retirement/separation physicals as needed.
• Conduct virtual mental health assessments as part of periodic health evaluations.
• Manage a patient panel, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
• Develop differential diagnoses, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and implement treatment plans.
• Respond to patient inquiries and document care according to clinic policies.
• Promote preventive care and healthy lifestyle practices through patient education and counseling.
• Prescribe medications and immunizations according to approved protocols.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in staff meetings, safety huddles, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.
Education:
• Bachelor s degree required.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
Certifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Experience:
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience required.
• Must meet all clinical competency and credentialing requirements as outlined in service-specific instructions.
