Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Whether you have recently completed a Medical Assistant program, have prior experience working in a patient care setting or have years of experience and are looking to learn a new specialty, we are currently hiring for Physician Practice Assistants at various clinics on O'ahu.

As a Physician Practice Assistant, you'll provide administrative support working the front office, provide patient support obtaining critical vitals and work with caring physicians as we improve the well-being of Native Hawaiians and all of the people of Hawai'i.

What to expect:

  • Interviews: Select candidates who meet the qualifications may be invited to schedule a virtual interview.

  • Same-Day Offers: Select candidates may receive a conditional job offer same-day.

To qualify for a Physician Practice Assistant:

  • Candidates must meet one of the following criteria :

  • Completion of a program/degree in one (1) of the following fields:

  • Medical Assistant

  • Nursing Assistant

  • Emergency Medical Technician

  • Nursing (LPN or RN)

OR

  • Be a current Nursing Student: Must have completed a semester of clinical fundamentals and a pharmacology course.

OR

  • Have at least six (6) months of direct patient care experience (preferably in a physician practice setting) or six (6) months of administrative medical office experience in one (1) of the following areas:

  • Patient access or admitting

  • Registration

  • Scheduling

  • Insurance verification (preferably in a physician practice setting)

  • Additional requirements include :

  • Current CPR certification at the BLS/HCP level.

  • Proficiency with computers and automated systems.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
