Role Overview:

As a PR Director at BPM-PR Firm, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our clients' brand narratives, securing media placements, and fostering meaningful relationships with key stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Vice President, you'll lead a team of passionate professionals, develop strategic PR campaigns, and ensure the successful execution of client initiatives. Additionally, you'll oversee the management of our PR team hub, consisting of PR team members and client accounts, to drive collaboration, efficiency, and exceptional service delivery. Your responsibilities will extend to event strategy, conceptualization, and creation, ensuring that our events align with client objectives and enhance their brand visibility. You will also be responsible for conducting media outreach to secure high level media placements, build new relationships and network with colleagues, clients, and the media, further expanding our reach and influence in the industry. Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive PR strategies tailored to each client's unique objectives, leveraging market insights, and industry trends to drive campaign success.
  • Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media contacts, pitching event stories, securing press coverage, and maximizing opportunities for client exposure.
  • Content Creation: Develop compelling event-related content, including press releases, pitch letters, media kits, and promotional materials, to generate excitement and drive media success.
  • Media Pitching: Lead strategic media outreach efforts for clients products, services and events, identifying relevant journalists and outlets, crafting personalized pitches, and securing high-impact placements.
  • Team Leadership, Training & Development: Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to a talented team of PR professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Client Reports: Prepare regular client reports, providing insights and analysis on campaign performance, to inform strategic decision-making and demonstrate value.
  • Client Meetings: Attend client meetings to discuss strategy, progress, and future plans, ensuring alignment with client objectives and addressing any concerns or feedback.
  • Desk Sides: Conduct video and in-person desk sides with clients to strengthen relationships, gain deeper insights into their business objectives, and identify opportunities for additional PR support.
  • Outreach and Networking: Conduct outreach to build new relationships and network with colleagues, clients, and the media, expanding our reach and influence in the industry. Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
  • Sample Management: Oversee the coordination and distribution of client products for media coverage and promotional purposes, ensuring timely delivery and effective utilization.
  • Hub Management: Oversee the PR team hub, including publicists and client accounts, ensuring alignment with client objectives, efficient workflow management, and exceptional service delivery.
  • Online Research: Conduct thorough online research to gather insights, identify emerging trends, and inform PR strategies, including media strategy planning and execution.
  • Campaign Management: Manage the end-to-end execution of PR campaigns for products, services and events, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Productivity Tracking: Implement systems for tracking team productivity and performance metrics, providing feedback and support to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Measurement and Analysis: Monitor and analyze media coverage, event attendance, and other key metrics, providing actionable insights to optimize future PR efforts.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent BPM-PR Firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders and enhancing our industry presence.
  • Event Strategy: Lead the development of event strategies aligned with client goals, leveraging industry best practices and innovative approaches to drive engagement and brand awareness. Ensure that our events align with client objectives and enhance their brand visibility.
  • Event Conceptualization: Conceptualize creative event ideas and themes that align with client messaging and objectives, ensuring a cohesive brand experience across all touchpoints.
  • Event Creation: Oversee the end-to-end creation and execution of events, from initial planning and logistics to on-site coordination and post-event evaluation.
  • Prescreening Potential Candidates: Participate in the prescreening of potential candidates passed from HR, evaluating qualifications and fit for the PR Director role.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Journalism.
  • 7+ years of extensive, hands-on experience in public relations and corporate communications.
  • Demonstrable track record of solid media contacts and relationships.
  • Portfolio of placements in print/broadcast and online media.
  • Previous experience managing a mid-sized team of employees.
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape and what types of stories resonate with them.
  • Experience with business press as well as technology & industry press.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel., Google workspace & Media Databases
  • Strong listening, creative thinking, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fast-paced and self-motivated working style.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and display high-level organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in Agency environment a must.
