Job Summary
MOR PPM Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer in Society Hill, SC. The Project Engineer assists the Project Management Team in meeting the Company's objectives and goals, which including ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within a budget and per contract specifications. The Project Engineer along with the Project Management team maintain a safe working environment for all employees
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional, first class customer service.
  • Assist with the execution and management of the terms of projects contracts.
  • Prepare and present computer-generated spreadsheets and reports.
  • Maintain regular communication and collaboration with entire project team, including Project Foreman, Project Manager, General Contractor, Architect/Engineer and other subcontractors.
  • Generate, maintain and facilitate project documentation in the execution of the construction processes for all -phases of the project. This will include, but is not limited to, requests for information, submittals, drawings, specifications, purchase orders, material orders, change orders, close-out documents, etc.
  • Perform material take offs from drawings to help generate estimates and changes.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, efficiency and integrity in all aspects of the work.
  • Maintain flexibility with assigned work environment and assigned project locations. May be required to commute to various jobsite locations.
  • Attend and conduct meetings as required.
  • Comply with all company operating policies, procedures and safety programs as established.
  • Other duties may be assigned as specific project dictates.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field; OR 2 years' prior experience in related field via internships, co-ops and/or industry employment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in utilized a wide range of computer software.
  • Engineer-in-training certification, Journeyman license and field experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
  • Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
  • Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.

Conditions include working in office, with occasional entry into shop, busy traffic areas, and warehouses. Occasional exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property. Must be able to effectively use any required PPE equipment.
