Job description

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Program Manager - Defense Acquisition & Logistics to lead and support complex Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition, logistics, and sustainment programs. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), supporting major capability acquisition programs, executing logistics and sustainment strategies, and collaborating across government, military, and contractor organizations.
This position requires a proven leader with expertise in program management, lifecycle logistics, budgeting, acquisition planning, and operational readiness within Navy and USSOCOM environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) supporting acquisition, logistics, and sustainment programs.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned programs and projects.
  • Develop and execute logistics strategies to support fleet and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate planning, budgeting, and execution activities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Analyze acquisition strategies and provide recommendations for program execution and risk mitigation.
  • Support development of Statements of Work (SOWs), technical documentation, contract requirements, and acquisition artifacts.
  • Provide oversight for equipment fielding, sustainment planning, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Develop and present program status reports to senior government and military leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable DoD acquisition regulations, policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, contracting, financial management, logistics, and operational communities to achieve mission objectives.
  • Support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) initiatives and international partner engagements when required.
  • Identify logistics gaps, operational risks, and readiness challenges while implementing effective solutions.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development, and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting DoD acquisition, logistics, program management, or sustainment programs.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Navy, USSOCOM, NAVAIR, or related defense organizations.
  • Experience managing logistics support equipment, sustainment programs, or lifecycle logistics initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, PPBE, and program management methodologies.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, spend plans, and resource allocations.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with senior government stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level briefings.
  • Experience developing acquisition documentation, contract support documentation, and program reporting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • DAWIA Program Management Certification.
  • DAWIA Life Cycle Logistics Certification.
  • Experience with Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreements and FAR-based contracting.
  • Familiarity with Security Classification Guides (SCGs), technical reviews, and readiness initiatives.
  • Experience supporting international military partners and coalition programs.
