We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented and creative team player to join our Aptive team! This is a full-time Senior Systems Engineer position located in Provo, Utah. Responsibilities include:

Systems Administration & Infrastructure

  • Administer and maintain Windows server environments, including Active Directory

  • Monitor infrastructure health and performance; proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact end users

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code, automation scripts, and runbooks to improve operational efficiency (PowerShell, Bash, Python)

  • Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, wireless, and VPN environments including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers

  • Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, IP address management (IPAM), and change logs

ServiceNow Development & Administration

  • Configure and customize ServiceNow modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and ITSM workflows

  • Develop and maintain custom applications, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, flow designer automations, and integrations

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver iterative improvements to the ServiceNow platform

  • Manage ServiceNow instance administration including upgrades, cloning, performance tuning, and access controls

Enterprise Platform & Security Services

  • Administer and support Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms (e.g., Kandji, Meraki Systems Manager) for device enrollment, compliance, and app deployment

  • Manage Identity Provider (IdP) services including SSO, MFA, and user lifecycle management (e.g., Okta)

  • Maintain and tune endpoint security solutions (EDR/XDR, antivirus, device compliance) and coordinate incident response with the security partner

  • Administer email security tools including spam filtering and anti-phishing policies

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in systems engineering, IT infrastructure, or a related technical role

  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls) with hands-on configuration experience

  • Experience with at least one ServiceNow module (ITSM, CMDB, or Service Catalog), including configuration or development

  • Familiarity with MDM, IdP, endpoint security, and email security platforms

  • Strong scripting and automation skills in one or more of: PowerShell, Bash, Python, or JavaScript

  • Excellent troubleshooting methodology and the ability to work through complex, multi-system issues independently

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
