We are seeking a Systems Quality Engineer to join the Quality Engineering team within Teradyne's Integrated System Test (IST) Group. In this role, you will validate complex semiconductor test systems by evaluating integrated hardware, software, embedded, and mechanical components to ensure they meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, reliability, and customer quality expectations.

As a Systems Quality Engineer, you will:

System Validation & Integration

  • Execute system-level testing to validate software, hardware, and embedded components working together in complex test systems.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures while documenting results and quality risks.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and help isolate system issues through structured debugging and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with software, hardware, firmware, and product teams to understand requirements and ensure product quality.
  • Contribute to test automation efforts by developing and maintaining automated tests and improving test efficiency where appropriate.
  • Analyze test results, track quality metrics, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 0-1 years of experience through internships, co-ops, academic projects, or professional software testing experience.
  • Familiarity with software quality engineering principles, test planning, and test case development.
  • Exposure to programming or scripting languages such as C++, C#, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, .NET, and modern software development tools and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in debugging complex systems.
  • Interest in system-level testing and understanding how hardware, software, and embedded components work together.
  • Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
  • Exposure through coursework, academic projects, internships, or laboratory experience involving hardware/software integration, instrumentation, robotics, automation systems, manufacturing systems, or semiconductor-related technologies is a plus.

Compensation:

 

The base salary range for this role is $73,100 - $117,000. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location. 

Incentive Plan:

This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
