Title: Senior Cloud Storage Solutions Architect

Employment Type: Contract (12-24+ months)

Compensation Range: $60-$73 per hour

Location: Downey, CA

Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Our client is the largest government agency in Los Angeles County, supporting more than 30 departments across the County. The environment requires secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise infrastructure to support critical public sector operations.

Position Summary

The Senior Cloud Storage Solutions Architect will provide subject matter expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise storage solutions across multi-vendor storage platforms and multi-cloud providers.

This role requires deep experience with enterprise backup and recovery, high-performance storage architecture, SAN infrastructure, Dell PowerMax block storage, storage automation, and hybrid cloud environments. The position requires strong technical judgment, cross-platform infrastructure knowledge, and the communication skills needed to work with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and optimize high-performance enterprise storage solutions across multi-vendor platforms and multi-cloud environments

- Architect enterprise data backup and recovery solutions for diverse on-premises workloads, including VMware, AIX, HP-UX, NAS, Windows, and Linux environments

- Provide deep technical expertise with Dell PowerMax block storage, including SRDF, Unisphere, and NVMe integrations

- Support and optimize SAN storage networking environments, including Cisco MDS director switches

- Work with Dell PowerScale, Elastic Cloud Storage, IBM FlashSystem 7200, NetApp Filers, NetApp StorageGRID, and Pure X70/X90 ActiveCluster platforms

- Develop and support storage automation using PowerShell, Ansible, Python, REST APIs, or equivalent tools for provisioning and configuration management

- Collaborate across infrastructure, cloud, application, and operations teams to align storage solutions with enterprise requirements

- Support storage architecture across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform environments

- Document architecture, configuration, standards, and operational procedures clearly for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field

- 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting multi-vendor storage solutions for enterprise environments

- 5+ years of experience with Cisco MDS director switches

- 5+ years of experience with Dell PowerMax, PowerScale, and Elastic Cloud Storage

- 5+ years of experience with IBM FlashSystem 7200

- 5+ years of experience with NetApp Filers and StorageGRID

- 5+ years of experience with Pure X70/X90 ActiveCluster

- 5+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting for automation, or Ansible equivalent

- 5+ years of experience with VMware environments

- 5+ years of experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform

- 5+ years of experience with AIX, HP-UX, Linux, and Windows operating systems

- Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud computing, and enterprise IT infrastructure

- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language

- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting public sector, government, or highly regulated enterprise environments

- Experience designing storage solutions for large-scale hybrid infrastructure environments

- Hands-on experience with SRDF replication, storage performance tuning, disaster recovery, and enterprise backup strategy

- Experience integrating enterprise storage with cloud storage, cloud backup, or cloud disaster recovery patterns

- Ability to work onsite in Downey, CA on a Monday-Friday schedule
