Job Description: Position is for a Program Manager I: * The candidate shall support daily program activities for managing an Inservice Navy Surface Ship program. * The candidate shall have knowledge of the Navy modernization process (Ship Change Documents, Engineering Change Proposals), waterfront operations as related to ship modernization and program/project management, to include engineering, financial management, risk management, scheduling, planning, and oversight of task progress. * The candidate will support the NSWCPD program office in the execution of their duties through the tracking of key schedule milestones, deliverables, action items, procurements and financial metrics. * The candidate shall know how to use Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel. * The candidate must be experienced with drafting and routing Naval Messages for release. In addition, familiarity with SharePoint and PowerApps will be ideal. Required Skills and/or Experience: Minimum Experience: Five (5) years of experience in program/project management, to include engineering, financial management, risk management, scheduling, planning, and oversight of task progress; 3 years of experience in U.S. Navy programs or operations.
