Job description

Position Summary
Provides comprehensive analytical support for Store Operations, with a primary focus on sales performance and merchandise productivity. Develops both automated reporting solutions and responsive ad-hoc models that facilitate informed decision-making across the leadership team. Excels at synthesizing multiple data sources into clear, accurate summaries that support the organization's strategic objectives and operational requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs thorough analysis of store-level performance, identifying sales trends and merchandise productivity drivers to provide timely insights for leadership.
  • Proactively develops and maintains sustainable Power BI and Excel-based tools to streamline recurring reporting and ensure consistent data availability.
  • Collaborates across functional areas to support tactical initiatives, such as analyzing inventory levels and assisting with the coordination of store-to-store product transfers.
  • Reconciles disparate data sets from various systems to ensure a high degree of accuracy and consistency in all shared reports and summaries.
  • Prepares well-formatted, concise data summaries and briefs for senior management, ensuring all information is presented in a professional and accessible format.
  • Monitors key performance indicators to ensure the continued profitability of store locations and maintains rigorous alignment with the organization's strategic plan and budgetary objectives.
  • Iterates on existing analytical models to incorporate new data points or shifting business needs, ensuring all tools remain relevant and actionable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Data Analytics) and 4+ years of relevant experience in a retail or high-volume operational environment.
  • Advanced skills in Excel (including complex formulas and data manipulation) required and intermediate experience with Power BI (Power Query and DAX) to build repeatable, user-friendly tools preferred.
  • A strong commitment to data integrity and a meticulous approach to proofing numerical work to ensure error-free reporting.
  • The ability to remain focused and productive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to translate complex datasets into professional, easy-to-digest summaries that are ready for senior-level review.
