Job description

You bring our data to life. Your dashboards and models help teams understand performance and make better decisions, faster. We are relying on you to optimize reporting, enable self-service, and maintain data consistency. Your work will enable real-time visibility, prediction, and insight-driven BWE.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop reusable dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations to surface key metrics and performance indicators with focus on real-time data updates and interactive analytics.

Design and maintain a centralized enterprise visualization dashboard and landing page, serving as the primary analytics hub for BWE.

Partner with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into actionable insights while identifying opportunities for predictive analytics and automated reporting.

Optimize data models and queries for performance and scalability ensuring efficient data processing and fast dashboard load times.

Manage and improve BI platform configurations, access controls, and dataset refreshes with automated scheduling and exception monitoring.

Ensure reporting consistency and standardization across teams and departments through reusable templates and governance frameworks.

Support BWE's community development initiative by servicing as an internal SME for distributed visualization developers across the enterprise, providing guidance on design and functionality, answering technical questions, delivering training, and encouraging user-led development.

Contribute to BWE's Intelligence Platform initiative by defining BI requirements, data visualization standards, and user experience specifications.

Key Deliverables:

Work with business partners to deliver a comprehensive suite of reusable BWE dashboards for top priorities with documented user guides and refresh schedules.

Analyze current dashboard performance and implement specific improvements to load times, interactivity, or data accuracy with measurable results.

Document and present at least three specific opportunities where automated insights, predictive analytics, or AI-enhanced reporting can significantly improve decision speed, reduce manual effort, or provide competitive advantage.

Establish baseline metrics for dashboard usage, performance, and user satisfaction with monthly reporting and continuous improvement process.

Research and recommend AI-powered BI tools for future implementation, including natural language processing for queries and automated insight generation, with cost-benefit analysis.

Create standardized dashboard templates and governance guidelines that other team members can use for consistent reporting across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or data engineering roles.

Proficiency in BI and visualization tools such as ThoughtSpot, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker; familiarity with cloud-native or AI-powered BI platforms.

Strong SQL skills with experience in optimizing queries and building performant data models.

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT pipelines, and relational database systems.

Experience translating business requirements into effective dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.

Solid understanding of data governance, access controls, and maintaining reporting consistency across teams.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related discipline.

5+ years of experience designing and maintaining enterprise BI solutions in a corporate environment.

Hands-on experience with ThoughtSpot, including live boards, search-based analytics, and SpotIQ; advanced knowledge of Power BI (DAX, Power Query, dataflows), or equivalent advanced expertise in Tableau/Looker.

Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).

Familiarity with predictive analytics, AI-powered BI, or natural language query tools.

Experience working with APIs and connecting diverse data sources for integrated reporting.
