Job Description

U.S. Bank's Automation Enablement Center (AEC) is growing, and we're looking for an Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Automate Unattended (RPA) to design, build, and support scalable automation solutions that run in an on prem server environment. This role focuses on driving efficiency, reducing manual processes, and supporting operational excellence within a highly regulated environment.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work with minimal direction, quickly learn new tools and processes, and deliver reliable automation solutions that meet enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy unattended Power Automate (RPA) workflows to automate business processes
  • Collaborate with business and technology partners to identify automation opportunities and define requirements
  • Build scalable, secure, and maintainable automation solutions aligned with enterprise standards
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing automations for performance and reliability
  • Ensure solutions meet compliance, security, and audit requirements in a regulated environment
  • Document processes, workflows, and technical solutions clearly for ongoing support and governance
  • Participate in testing, deployment, and post-production support activities
  • Cross train to help support Automation Anywhere automation solutions
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to automation practices and tools
  • Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to enterprise standards prior to production

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Seven (7+) plus years of relevant work experience with programming concepts, development logic or automating complex processes
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate Unattended (RPA)

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Proven experience building and supporting unattended automation solutions using Power Automate
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries such as financial services, banking, healthcare, or insurance
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Experience with workflow design, process optimization, and automation best practices
  • Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem (Power Platform, Azure, Office 365)
  • Understanding of governance, risk, and compliance considerations in automation
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Application of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning to business problems
  • Java, Python or other scripting languages

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
