Qualifications
- Electronics Technologist Diploma or Electronics Engineering Degree
- 3-5 years of experience in electronics troubleshooting.
- Capable of hand soldering small SMD components (0402 or smaller)
- Hands-on experience with multimeters and power supplies
- Ability to use hand tools to fabricate test fixtures
- Experience in using oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
- Able to interpret schematics to determine and circuit's operation
- Experienced in troubleshooting complex analog and digital circuits
- Familiar with electronic circuit board manufacturing and assembly
- Comfortable with command-line tools
What is an Electronics Technician expected to do?
- Analyze field returns to determine the cause of failure
- Document all failures in our QC application, Jira
- Disassemble returned units to allow re-use of good components
- Carefully track and transfer parts in our inventory system, Odoo
- Develop and build test fixtures to support production
- Develop and perform tests on prototypes to verify functionality and durability
- Create and deploy test fixtures to support R&D systems
- Maintain and train new employees on the ESD mitigation program

BinSentry is an Internet of Things (IoT) startup in the AgTech (agriculture technology) industry. Our sensors help monitor inventory for feed bins by predicting future consumption using deep learning and generating optimal shipping routes using genetic algorithms.
