Job Title: Electrical Power Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are expanding our hardware engineering team with Electrical Power Systems Engineers who will design and develop next-generation AC/DC and DC/DC power supply solutions for high-demand telecom and data centre applications. You will work on reliable, high-performance power systems that meet complex customer and regulatory requirements, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical power systems, including AC power conversion solutions such as 400V DC and 800V DC systems for telecom and data centre applications.
  • Translate customer, regulatory, and data centre standards into robust and compliant hardware designs.
  • Perform detailed hardware and PCB design, development, and validation for power electronics systems.
  • Conduct testing, fault simulation, and performance evaluation of AC/DC and DC/DC power systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot, bring up, and optimize designs based on test results, lab findings, and field feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet aggressive delivery timelines and support high-volume production demands.
  • Support compliance activities by ensuring designs meet diverse data centre customer standards and industry requirements.
  • Apply power electronics, analog and digital design principles, and PCB layout best practices to deliver high-quality designs.
  • Communicate design decisions, technical risks, and progress clearly to stakeholders and team members.
  • Take high-level requirements and translate them into effective, detailed design solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership of design work, making informed technical decisions and driving designs to completion.
  • Adopt a hands-on approach to testing, validation, and continuous improvement of power systems.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3–10 years of experience in electrical power system design within one or more of the following industries: telecommunications, automotive, industrial systems, or avionics.
  • Experience developing power supplies or data centre power systems, including AC/DC and DC/DC solutions.
  • Strong hardware design experience with a focus on power electronics and power supply design.
