Job description

Power BI Developer

Work Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid, 3 days in a week from office)

In-person Interview is required

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc queries.
  • Collaborate with business users to understand and meet their requirements.
  • Utilize data modeling techniques using Power Query/Power Pivot.
  • Develop and optimize DAX queries.
  • Use Power BI Report Builder and/or create Paginated Reports.
  • Manage and query SQL Server or any other relational databases.

Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, analytics, and reporting systems.
  • At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in relational and multi-dimensional (OLAP) data modeling.
  • Proficiency in data modeling using Power Query and Power Pivot.
  • Strong expertise in DAX and Power BI Report Builder and/or Paginated Reports.
  • Excellent SQL skills, particularly with SQL Server or similar relational databases, including query optimization and understanding of relational and dimensional database structures.
  • Experience working with DataBricks.
  • Experience working in Financial domain, specifically in Fixed Income, Equity, and Derivative businesses.
  • Ability to analyze user requirements, provide recommendations, and implement effective solutions.
  • Self-driven with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to deliver quick resolutions.
  • Experience managing full project life cycles from inception to deployment.
  • Proven capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in high-pressure environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Working knowledge of Data Flows.
  • Experience with PBRS (Power BI Report Server).
  • Familiarity with Power On.
  • Experience with Snowflake data warehouse.
