POSITION SUMMARY:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 

We are looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our Strategic Pricing team and play a key role in driving profitable growth through data-driven pricing strategies. In this role, you will help shape pricing decisions that support revenue expansion, margin optimization, and a strong competitive position in the marketplace. You'll partner closely with Product Management, Sales, Finance, and IT to translate complex data into actionable insights and ensure pricing strategies are effectively implemented and measured.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical expertise with commercial acumen and a strategic mindset. They are a trusted partner who can influence stakeholders across the business, turning insights into recommendations that drive meaningful business outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executeย onย pricing strategies to support businessย objectivesย and profitability targetsย 
  • Analyze competitive benchmarks, customer behavior, market dynamics, and cost structures to inform pricing decisionsย 
  • Create pricing targets andย establishย performance benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategiesย 
  • Lead various pricing cycles, includingย price book rollouts,ย customerย specificย priceย renewalย analysis,ย and troubleshoot issues across system integrationsย 
  • Perform cross-channel and customer segmentation pricing analysisย 
  • Develop pricing recommendations across the product lifecycle, including NPI pricingย 
  • Evaluate deal-level pricing strategies toย optimizeย margins and financial outcomesย 
  • Leverage SQL and Python to structure and analyze large datasets for pricing optimizationย 
  • Automate pricing recommendation, standardization, and process improvementsย 
  • Develop andย maintainย Power BI dashboards to support pricing analytics, performance tracking, and executive reporting; comfortable operating as a Power BI developer supporting end users and leadershipย 
  • Ad hocย evaluation ofย pricing requests, discounts, and deal-based pricing scenariosย 
  • Monitor pricing compliance and adherence to corporate pricing policies and governance frameworksย 
  • Prepare executive-ready insights, reports, and recommendations on pricing performanceย

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced SQL experience building andย optimizingย complex queries, joins, and data transformations across large, relational datasetsย 
  • Advancedย proficiencyย in Excelย ย 
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders through data-driven recommendationsย 
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skillsย 
  • Hands-on experience with CPQย (Configure, Price, Quote)ย systems (e.g.ย SFDC,ย Model N)ย 
  • Broad understanding of end-user applications and AE products; familiarity with power supplies or semiconductor equipment is a plus but not requiredย 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to senior stakeholdersย 
  • Develop Python-based solutions to extract and analyze competitor data from APIs and other data sourcesย (preferred)
  • Proficiencyย in Power BI for dashboard development and data visualizationย (preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of pricing, commercial analytics, or financeย experienceย 
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or B2B business environmentsย 
  • Experience with price book management, discount governance, and pricing approval frameworksย 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pricing, Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, or a related fieldย

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting.ย  Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.ย  The range of starting pay for this role is $85,000ย to $115,000ย per year.ย ย ย
