Job Description:Seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to support enterprise Business Intelligence initiatives through requirements gathering, semantic data modeling, dashboard development, report optimization, and enterprise reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Power BI development, DAX calculations, data modeling, report creation, and data source connectivity across APIs, SQL databases, BigQuery, Excel, ArcGIS, and streaming datasets. This role requires close collaboration with business users, analysts, and technical teams to understand reporting requirements, optimize data models, and deliver visually engaging, scalable, and performance-optimized dashboards aligned with business goals. The candidate should also be comfortable leveraging AI tools, source/version control processes, and Azure DevOps while supporting enterprise reporting and collaboration activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to gather reporting requirements and business objectives
  • Identify relevant data sources, business logic, and attributes for reporting and analytics solutions
  • Analyze and reverse-engineer business-developed Excel logic, formulas, pivot tables, and reporting processes
  • Design and document conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting reporting needs
  • Build reusable semantic data models within Power BI environments
  • Configure row-level and column-level security within Power BI semantic models
  • Create and optimize relationships between tables and enterprise data structures
  • Connect Power BI to APIs, BigQuery, ArcGIS, SQL databases, Excel files, and streaming datasets
  • Collaborate with integration teams to support enterprise integration patterns and data connectivity
  • Develop DAX formulas including calculated columns, measures, and advanced calculations
  • Design interactive dashboards, reports, drill-through features, slicers, streaming visuals, and ArcGIS visualizations
  • Optimize Power BI report performance using DAX Studio, Power BI performance tools, and data model improvements
  • Publish reports to Power BI Service and manage refresh schedules, access controls, and deployment activities
  • Utilize Azure DevOps and organizational version/source control practices for Power BI development
  • Work with AI tools and technologies to optimize reporting and analytics workflows
  • Conduct working sessions, screen sharing, backlog discussions, and stakeholder requirement reviews
  • Present reporting insights and technical concepts to non-technical audiences and stakeholders


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in collaborative meetings and business requirement workshops
  • Support continuous optimization of reporting solutions and semantic models
  • Ensure report usability, performance, scalability, and business alignment
