Job description

We are looking for a versatile Full Stack BI Developer who combines strong technical engineering skills with a business-focused analytics mindset.

In this role, you will be deeply involved in both our core product and our client-facing reporting operations. You will help maintain our existing PostgreSQL data warehouse pipelines in Azure, build dynamic new dashboards directly within our software product, and deliver polished, executive-ready Power BI and Excel reports to clients. You will also partner directly with clients to define key performance indicators (KPIs), perform advanced statistical modeling, and comprehensively document our data ecosystem.

This is a full-time position based at our Sacramento headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy interactive dashboards and widgets within our product, while creating custom Power BI and Excel reports tailored to client needs.
  • Maintain, monitor, and optimize existing data warehouse pipelines powered by PostgreSQL and MSSQL to ensure reliable data flow.
  • Conduct correlation analyses, build forecasting models, and identify/resolve data gaps to deliver accurate analytical outputs.
  • Proactively define and implement meaningful KPIs that drive actionable insights for internal teams and external clients.
  • Meet with clients to gather reporting requirements, present solutions, and support ongoing analytical needs.
  • Author complete documentation across the data lifecycle, including workflows, technical architecture, version-controlled code, client user guides, and a detailed dictionary of dashboards, widgets, and charts.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Full-Stack Application/Analytics development.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MSSQL in a cloud environment (Azure preferred), including writing optimized queries, views, and functions.
  • Strong Git experience for managing SQL scripts, Python pipelines, and codebase integration.
  • Expert proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling) and advanced Microsoft Excel (functions, Power Query, dynamic reporting).
  • Advanced SQL skills; solid Python experience for data manipulation, statistical analysis, forecasting, and pipeline automation.
  • Working familiarity with React (front-end dashboard integration) and .NET (back-end service integration).
  • Demonstrated experience with correlation analysis, time-series forecasting, trend analysis, and identifying data gaps.
  • Exceptional communication skills; comfortable leading client meetings and creating clear technical and end-user documentation.

Tech Stack

  • Databases & Cloud: PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Azure
  • BI & Reporting: Power BI, Microsoft Excel
  • Languages & Tools: Python, SQL, Git
  • Application Frameworks: React, .NET (familiarity)
