Overview:
SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Senior Power Platform Developer to join our team on site in Fort Belvoir, VA, in support of our government customers. The Senior Power Platform Developer serves as a technical expert in designing, developing, and implementing advanced solutions built on Microsoft Power Platform in support of Army Records Management and similar DoD programs. This role leverages in-depth software engineering principles to create enterprise Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI analytics that enhance operational efficiency across multiple government projects. The Senior Developer supports Project Managers by contributing to project planning, directing technical execution, estimating development efforts, and overseeing the full software development lifecycle. With strong knowledge of Dataverse, SQL, SharePoint, GOTS systems, configuration management processes, and integration requirements, this role provides critical technical evaluations, solves complex engineering problems, and mentors junior developers to ensure high-quality, compliance, and scalable solutions.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade Power Apps applications.
  • Build automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline mission processes.
  • Develop Power BI dashboards, data models, and analytical reports supporting decision-making.
  • Analyze technical and functional requirements to create detailed solution designs.
  • Develop, configure, and maintain Dataverse tables, schemas, and relationships.
  • Lead technical development and implementation across multiple Army or DoD IT projects.
  • Provide expert-level technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Support Project Managers with technical planning, development effort estimations, and scheduling.
  • Report and monitor technical progress throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Conduct studies, evaluations, and recommendations to solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Integrate existing GOTS systems with new Power Platform solutions.
  • Modify and enhance GOTS applications to meet evolving government requirements.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to configuration management and Change Control Board (CCB) processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and related systems.
  • Develop scalable enterprise data models supporting analytics and automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to refine requirements and validate solutions.
  • Ensure that all developed applications meet security, compliance, and Army Records Management requirements.
  • Maintain complete technical documentation across the full SDLC.
  • Support database integrations using SQL, SharePoint, Dataverse, and other data sources.
  • Coordinate development activities within a team to meet technical and contractual deadlines.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • An active in scope Secret security clearance.
  • Must possess baseline and computing environment certifications for IAT-II IAW DoD 8570.01-M (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCP).
  • Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in engineering, scientific, technical, or business management disciplines from an accredited college or university.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of technical development and implementation experience.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Strong experience with Dataverse, Power Fx, DAX, and related tools.
  • Experience modifying or integrating GOTS applications within Army or DoD environments.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and Change Control Board (CCB) processes.
  • Ability to produce accurate development effort estimations for project scheduling.
  • Proven ability to lead technical development across multiple IT projects.
  • Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience working with enterprise data sources, including SQL and SharePoint.
  • Ability to design and analyze complex data models for enterprise applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for highly complex engineering and technical issues.
  • Experience conducting technical studies, evaluations, and recommending solutions.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within technical project teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and guide lower-level developers.

  • Normal office conditions.
  • Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 - 1700.
  • On government site within Fort Belvoir, VA.
