Power BI Data Visualization Specialist

The Opportunity:

For an organization to transform in today's digital world, it needs to properly collect, store, organize, and utilize its data. Effective data management can enable more efficient operations, yielding more growth. As a data visualization specialist, you know how to apply your creative-thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations utilize their data assets. We're looking for an experienced data visualization specialist like you to deliver leading-edge solutions for Law Enforcement.

As a data visualization specialist on our Law Enforcement team, you'll use your extensive technical expertise to design data solutions for data virtualization and cloud computing. You'll resolve routine data issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by providing advice on data visualization methods, approaches, and designs, analyzing data architecture-related business needs, and working with project staff to make decisions and recommendations on future data dashboards and visuals.

In this role, you'll grow your technical expertise, apply best practices, and use tools like Power BI and Microsoft SQL toimplement, migrate, and develop data reporting to the client's leadership and customers. You'll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are delivered.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with developing complex data dashboards and visualizations utilizing Microsoft Power BI

  • Experience utilizing Jira for agile management of tasks

  • Experience with Jira data, Jira JQL, and integrating Jira data to Power BI to create visualizations for program and agile metrics

  • Ability to create and maintain data analysis and visualizations in Power BI that provide clear, actionable communications on behalf of our client's cybersecurity program

  • Ability to develop and build data sets to assist with processing, displaying, and reporting of required data for our client's Executive Management and internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to be proactive and lead the design, development, testing, and delivery of visualizations

  • Ability to work independently to resolve issues or blockers

  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team to define requirements and gather feedback on visualizations

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
