Job Summary

Prince Industries is currently seeking an experience Powder Coater Painter for our Batavia, IL location. This role is on first shift from 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday. The Powder Coater/Painter performs daily routine tasks in the Paint Line area by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, gloves, lifting guidelines, interlocks, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.
  • Relies on specific instructions and pre-existing guidelines to perform functions of the job.
  • Carefully reviews and follows all special powder coating instructions.
  • Loads and unloads materials or parts from paint line to specified area.
  • Examines workpiece and dislodges or removes debris from objects.
  • Fills tanks with water or acid to specified level.
  • Mask and Plug parts that require based on the print that calls them out.
  • Handles parts in order to maintain surface finish and part integrity.
  • Measures or weighs out and pours specified quantity of chemical into large tank containers.
  • Completes all necessary and required paperwork as relates to the job. (i.e. tags).
  • Carefully places, lays or stack objects when coming off paint line.
  • Moves finished containers of painted parts to the next designated operation.
  • Transports materials to and from designated location using pallet jack or other authorized moving equipment as needed.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in assigned work area.
  • Works under direct supervision of lead man and plant supervisor.
  • Understands and follows Prince Industries quality certifications (i.e. ISO, QS) as relates to position.
  • Works effectively with all department personnel and co-workers in a harmonious and cooperative manner to meet the needs and goals established by the company.
  • Additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by department supervisor and may include department transfers to meet production needs.

Education and Experience

  • 5+ Years of Paint / Powder Coating experience in a machine shop environment preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Physical Job Requirements

  • Required to perform repetitive hand work for the duration of 8-10-hour shift daily.
  • Required to sit or stand the duration of shift.
  • Required to walk, bend, reach, stoop or kneel.
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Regularly may lift, push or pull up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision in which 20/20 or corrected vision to 20/20 vision is required.
  • The noise level in the work environment is generally loud, in which hearing protection is required.

Compensation: Pay: $20 - $25
