Job description

Powder Coat Department - Applicator
Shift: 2nd
Skilled position
Starting Pay Range: $17.50 - $20.00 (depending on experience/skill level) + $1.00/hour shift premium
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. boxes of powder - filling up the hopper and putting powder in the storage area upon receipt.
  • Maintaining all powder equipment and tools after training.
  • Troubleshooting problems with the powder guns.
  • Applying a thorough, even coat of powder on each product.
  • Keeping a well-maintained area.
  • Cleaning up excess powder in and around the booth at the end of shift.
  • Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
  • Follow company procedures and directives.
  • Follow instructions and communicate well with team members and leadership
  • Wearing and maintaining all required PPE in good condition.
  • The ability and willingness to do other jobs when we are shorthanded and need to shuffle team members.

Skills and qualifications:
  • Commitment to working safely.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Physical fitness and strength to lift and operate heavy machinery and maneuver jib cranes with product.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to follow instruction
  • Quick learner.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must take pride in your work and give attention to detail.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must maintain good attendance.
  • Problem solving skills.
