Job description

Job Description:
Responsible for a full range of production powder coating duties including, but not limited to painting fabricated metal parts of different shapes and sizes, possibly will require various colors, perform quality inspections of work performed, prepare and monitor surface treatment, and perform preventative maintenance on sprayers and personal protective equipment.
Essential Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Inspect incoming parts.
  • Rack and/or hang parts.
  • Ensure proper application of powder coat technique and product quality.
  • Machine set up and operations. Adjust equipment to ensure correct paint application paths and material application thicknesses.
  • Inspect completed parts.
  • Wrap completed parts when necessary.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance, to include the cleaning of paint booths, spray guns and lines, etc.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:
  • High School/GED equivalent
  • 1-year experience with hand spray and powder paint operation preferred but not required
  • Reliable, dependable and on-time to work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Work in safe manner
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Self-Starter, ability to work with little supervision
  • Dependable transportation
  • Teamwork environment

Work Environment: Manufacturing warehouse facility with exposure to dust, heat, airborne particles. Safety and PPE is required.
