Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Maintain a smoke-free environment.
  • Reliable personal transportation required; gas expenses covered via family-provided card.
  • Up-to-date on general vaccinations per CDC guidelines.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred; not a dealbreaker.
  • Comfortable signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA); strict privacy and discretion are non-negotiable.
  • Strong commitment to family privacy, including no social media content featuring the home, family members, or any identifying details.

About Our Family

We're a busy, creative household with a whole lot of energy and heart. Our home is the kind of place where something is always in motion - a project underway, kids getting ready for school, a dog wandering in looking for a lap to sit on, and a grandma or two popping in to help. We love what we do and pour ourselves into it, which means our home needs someone who can help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Both of our kids are school-age and full of personality. They're heading into full-time school starting in September, which brings a whole new rhythm to our days. Mornings tend to be the most chaotic stretch, and afternoons involve school pickups and the after-school wind-down. Our Saint Bernadoodle is a gentle giant who loves being around people and is as much a part of the household as anyone.

Our home is a happy, high-functioning space, and we want to keep it that way. We've had wonderful household support in the past and know firsthand what a difference the right person can make. We're looking for someone who can step into this role and truly become part of the rhythm of our home - someone who takes initiative, works independently, and helps us stay on top of all the things that make family life run well.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

  • Show up as a self-starter who takes initiative without being asked and spots what needs to be done before it becomes a problem.
  • Work independently and without micromanagement; thrive in an environment where you're trusted to own your tasks.
  • Communicate openly and professionally about household needs without overstepping into personal territory or wanting to hang around and socialize.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to privacy and discretion, especially around children, the home, and the family's public presence - no social media content featuring the family or household.
  • Bring a proactive, organized mindset and can work from a list or create one when needed.
  • Adapt easily to a dynamic household where the schedule and priorities can shift from week to week.
  • Handle sensitive information with maturity and are fully comfortable signing an NDA.
  • Bring experience from nannying, hospitality, or admin roles and can translate those transferable skills into house management.

Key Responsibilities

Family Support

  • School pickups approximately 2x per week; ad hoc after-school drop-offs as needed.
  • Light supervision and occasional backup childcare.
  • Prep backpacks, snacks, and clothing for school days.
  • Handle kid-related errands as they come up.
  • Occasional date night coverage approximately once a month.

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Perform daily resets and prep the home for cleaning service visits.
  • Maintain and improve household organization systems throughout the home.
  • Handle seasonal swaps for clothing, bedding, and decor.
  • Coordinate and prepare donation drop-offs.
  • Assist with packing and unpacking for family travel.
  • Handle small home maintenance tasks such as changing batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detector checks.
  • Clean out the family vehicle and arrange car washes as needed.

Meal Support

  • Prepare 2-3 dinners per week; slow cooker and one-pan meals are great, prepped and ready to eat (not plated).
  • Wash, chop, and prep fresh fruits and vegetables for snacking and meals.
  • Grocery shop on a week-to-week basis in collaboration with the family.
  • Follow household dietary needs: tree nut allergy (parent) and rice allergy for the daughter (small amounts only; rice-based meals served on the side).
  • Handle kitchen cleanup and general kitchen maintenance.

Laundry & Linens

  • Full laundry cycle: wash, fold, organize, and put away family laundry.
  • Maintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry area.

Inventory & Errands

  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies.
  • Manage running household supply lists.
  • Handle Amazon, Costco, and Target orders and returns.
  • Manage mail and package handling; break down boxes.

  • Occasional deep cleans including fridge, oven, baseboards, garage, and mudroom.
  • Large organizational projects such as toys and gear.
  • Refresh entry areas and high-traffic spaces as needed.

Pet Care

  • Let the dog in and out throughout the day (fenced yard available).
  • Occasional walks as needed.
  • Maintain pet supplies.

Administrative Support

  • Manage and maintain access to the family calendar, including household and school schedules.
  • Serve as point of contact for contractors and vendors when the family is unavailable.
