Job Summary
As a Senior Poultry Account Manager, you are responsible for selling a product line and managing its sales growth. You will work with producers and distributors/dealers to promote a designated line of products. You will seek opportunities to increase revenue from existing accounts, while leveraging your industry connections and relationships to establish new business. You will act as the account manager for your accounts and lead the account team to provide excellent customer service. In many situations, you will serve as the primary account manager, while in others, you will support other account managers. You will be tasked with achieving growth plan objectives related to the sales and profitability of your assigned accounts. This position is designated for a specific geographic territory, which may change over time in response to company needs.
You must be able to communicate well with all areas of the company. You will work with a technical counterpart. You will also work with a product specialist to define your go-to-market strategy and to perfect the product positioning, key benefits, supporting research, competitive differentiation, and target customer.
