Your Role as a Registered Nurse (RN):

As a vital member of our health care team, youโ€™ll provide top-notch patient care within your assigned department or unit. Working closely with clinical managers and other healthcare professionals, youโ€™ll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, always ensuring the highest standards of safety and compassion.

This is your chance to take ownership of your patientsโ€™ care and make a lasting impact on their health and well-being. Youโ€™ll work collaboratively with physicians, specialists, and support staff to create comprehensive care plans and deliver the best outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional patient care within your assigned department/unit.
  • Collaborate with the health care team under the guidance of the clinical manager or designee.
  • Adhere to the Standards and Scope of Practice for Registered Nurses.
  • Assess, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Follow established patient care standards for Legacy Health System, including patient assessment and transfer protocols.
Qualifications

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program as required by licensure.
  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is strongly preferred. If youโ€™re working towards your BSN, we encourage you to apply!
  • For certain roles, a BSN is required. We also consider RNs without a BSN based on clinical experience and with approval from the Chief Nursing Officer.

Experience:

  • At least one year of nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program (or equivalent program).
  • Preferred: Labor & Delivery experience

Skills & Qualities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize electronic health systems.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities โ€” because in this role, every day is different, and your expertise will make all the difference.

Additional Qualifications:

  • American Heart Association BLS required.
  • American Heart Association NRP required. May be hired with AHA/AAP Essential NRP, but must obtain Advanced NRP within 6 weeks or completion of orientation, whichever is longer. Travel nurses may continue to have Essential NRP if not performing in Charge, Neonatal Resuscitation, Baby, or NICU RN roles.
  • If recovering OB or Surgical patients, American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire.
  • STABLE within 6 months of hire.
  • Advance Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of labor training.
  • Ability to Scrub or scrub training within 6 months of hire (specific for Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital).
  • Refer to Womens Education Plan for ongoing competencies.
