Job description

About the Role

Our client, an elite early-stage AI startup backed by top-tier investors is seeking a hands-on Performance Marketing Specialist to lead paid acquisition from the ground up. If you thrive in high-ownership environments, excel at building full-funnel ad campaigns from scratch, and want to be a founding member of a lean, high-velocity growth team, this role is for you.

As the founding Performance Marketing Specialist, you will take full ownership of paid acquisition channels, primarily leveraging Meta Ads alongside Google Ads as a strong secondary driver. You will spend your days directly inside ad managers—building campaign structures, running rigorous tests, analyzing data, managing budgets, and optimizing performance loops on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Campaign Execution: Manage and scale daily operations within Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.

  • Testing & Optimization: Design, launch, and evaluate creative, copy, and audience tests to optimize conversion rates and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).

  • Data & Attribution: Leverage tools like GA4, PostHog, CAPI, and custom UTM parameters to track full-funnel performance and make data-driven budget allocation decisions.

  • Continuous System Improvement: Identify friction points across the user acquisition journey and refine growth loops weekly.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: 2–5 years of direct, hands-on performance marketing experience, with deep, proven expertise in Meta Ads.

  • Technical Proficiency: Fluent with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, GA4, PostHog, Conversions API (CAPI), and robust UTM tracking setups.

  • Execution Focus: A self-starter who loves being in the weeds, analyzing hard data, and scaling winning tactics independently.

  • Work Arrangement: 100% on-site, 5 days a week at the San Francisco office (Union Street). Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
