Job description

Job Title: Database Administrator

Location: Eagan, MN or Raleigh, NC
Duration: 7 Months

Candidates may be allowed to work remote but MUST be willing to report to facility in Eagan, MN or Raleigh, NC for first few weeks for initial equipment setup and training. In addition, you may be required to report on-site as requested. All travel / lodging expenses will not be reimbursed.
Schedule will include nights and weekends. Tentative schedule is Thursday Monday from 11:30pm ET to 8:30am ET. (will discuss exact schedule at screening)
We are seeking a Database Administrator with Oracle and DB2 experience. This position will be responsible for all database activities including patching, deployments and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex functional activities in support of Oracle RDBMS products and services, IBM DB2, Oracle eBusiness Suite, and Postgres. This role requires a deep understanding of database technologies and the ability to manage and optimize databases in large, high-performance enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oracle support:
o Upgrade, install, patch, and remediate vulnerabilities in Oracle RDBMS products and services on Linux servers.
o Manage and maintain a complex Oracle RDBMS production environment.
IBM DB2 Support:
o Install, upgrade, patch, and remediate vulnerabilities in IBM DB2 databases on Mainframe systems, Linux and Windows servers.
o Manage and maintain DB2 production environments including performance tuning and query optimization.
o Troubleshoot and resolve DB2-related issues in high-availability environments.
Oracle eBusiness Suite Support:
o Upgrade, install, patch, and remediate vulnerabilities in Oracle eBusiness Suite applications on Linux servers.
o Ensure the integration and performance of Oracle eBusiness Suite with other systems.
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Oracle eBusiness Suite.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in managing Oracle RDBMS, IBM DB2, Oracle eBusiness Suite, and/or NoSQL databases.
Strong understanding of database design, optimization, and query writing.
Proficiency in Linux, Mainframe environments and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite integration and administration.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL (Post Gres SQL) database administration.
Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new technologies, take on expanded responsibilities, and grow within the role.
Candidates must demonstrate a growth mindset and openness to learning new tools, platforms, and responsibilities as the environment evolves.
MUST be flexible and willing to work on-call, overnights and weekends as needed.
Works on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program, and performs all functional duties independently.
Oversees the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of thirteen (13) to twenty (20) years relevant experience.
A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field, then four additional years of related experience is required.
Minimum of 6 years of Oracle production support DBA experience; specifically, RMAN, OEM, and RAC
Minimum of 4 years of IBM DB2 production DBA experience.
Experience with LARGE multi-node RAC databases.
Knowledge or experience with Post Gres SQL
