Position Qualification
Position Summary
A postdoctoral position is currently available in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, focused on novel combination therapy for glioblastoma (brain cancer). The potential candidate is expected to perform various cell and molecular biology techniques and in vitro and in vivo experiments to evaluate combination drug therapy in glioblastoma. He/she will also be involved in animal genotyping, animal drug treatment, and animal breeding.
Required Qualifications
A postdoc applicant should have a PhD in Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or Life Sciences.
Extensive experience in cell culture, 3D culture, drug screening, and fluorescent microscopy.
A prior experience in molecular and cancer biology.
A candidate should have publications as the first author in peer-reviewed journals.
Bioinformatics analysis using a publicly available database.
Supplemental Qualifications
He/she should have at least 2-3 years of research experience. A strong background in cancer biology and therapeutic targeting is required. Further, knowledge in RNA-sequencing, pathological techniques, and in vivo preclinical research experience is desirable.
