Lively Mental Health and Behavioral Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team as a Mental Health Counselor. • Perform thorough mental health assessments to determine and address the specific needs of clients, ensuring personalized and impactful treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to facilitate client progress.
• Lead psychoeducational groups and support sessions aimed at fostering community and reducing stigma surrounding mental health issues.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists and psychologists to provide coordinated care and ensure comprehensive treatment strategies are in place.
• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, offering immediate support and guidance to clients in distress.
• Educate clients on their mental health conditions, available treatment options, and local resources that can aid in their recovery.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Actively engage in regular team meetings and case consultations, contributing ideas and sharing knowledge to enhance team effectiveness.
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy to continuously improve personal practice and patient outcomes.

Your primary focus will be on serving a diverse patient population, including adolescents and adults, who present with a range of mental health challenges. • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the State of California.
• Strong understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and develop effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Proficient in delivering therapeutic services to diverse populations, utilizing both individual and group modalities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on fostering trust and rapport with clients.
• Adherence to professional ethics and best practices in mental health counseling.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technological tools.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

• Previous experience in a community health or outpatient setting.
• Experience leading group therapy or educational sessions.
• Knowledge of local mental health resources and community services.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and emergency protocols.
