Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Mobile Patrol Driver in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position offers the opportunity to support a welcoming environment through clear communication, professionalism, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized activity, theft-related concerns, and policy violations.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities according to site procedures, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
