Job Title:            Post Closer

Department:      Post Closing

Reports To:        Post Closing Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: The Post Closer plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of loan documentation following the closing process. This position involves tracking, collecting, and organizing required trailing documents, ensuring all necessary paperwork is accurately documented and ready for delivery to investors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform quality checks on trailing documents to ensure completeness and before submission to investors.
  • Work with partners to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to trailing documentation, such as missing signatures, incorrect data, or incomplete forms.
  • Maintain organized electronic files and records of trailing documents in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Ensure all documents are properly filed and indexed for easy retrieval.
  • Review and respond to ad-hoc investor requests for documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting and servicing departments, to streamline post-closing processes and enhance efficiency.

DESIRED PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage lending, post-closing, and loan documentation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
