Job description

Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

This role supports a high-volume production environment by operating equipment, handling materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The position involves physical labor, machine operation, and general labor tasks both indoors and outdoors on rotating or fixed shifts. You will contribute directly to production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety while working closely with a small team.

Responsibilities

  • Apply endplates by hand or using machines in accordance with production specifications.
  • Operate banding equipment safely and efficiently to secure materials and products.
  • Assist in loading and unloading materials, including charges, using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Support material storage activities by setting stickers and dunnage to ensure safe and organized stacking.
  • Tag materials accurately with proper product tags to maintain clear identification and traceability.
  • Cut dunnage to required sizes to support safe storage and transport of materials.
  • Assist in cleaning work areas, including sweeping, organizing, and removing debris to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  • Participate in painting and maintaining property, plant, and equipment as directed.
  • Contribute actively to the company safety program by following safety procedures, using required protective equipment, and reporting hazards.
  • Perform visual and basic quality checks on materials and products during handling and processing.
  • Use hand tools and basic equipment to complete general production and maintenance tasks.
  • Upload and download job information into computers or production systems accurately and on time.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot basic issues with equipment or processes and escalate problems as needed.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work area to support smooth production operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall plant and production needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.17 - $24.17/hr.
