Job description

Summary/Objective
The Fireplace Installer provides professional in-home and pre-settlement installation of fireplaces, performing all duties with the highest level of customer service and professionalism.
Essential Functions
  • Install fireplaces and components in residential and commercial settings
  • Address installation issues to resolve operating problems according to manufacturer's specifications (including, but not limited to, ignition systems, gas pressures, venting, mechanical, and house pressure) before leaving the job site
  • Use diagnostic tools such as manometer and multi-meter to obtain readings on gas pressure and voltages
  • Initiate gas startups and perform homeowner orientations to ensure proper operation
  • Maintain full knowledge of the after-market product line and utilize consultative sales techniques to sell service products and accessories
  • Read manuals and conduct hands-on study of products to maintain up-to-date knowledge
  • Communicate effectively with customers to provide needed information with professionalism
  • Collaborate with sales staff and the service department to ensure installations meet quality standards
  • Perform installation preview and post-view processes as needed
  • Attend and successfully complete all company-provided training
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety standards and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the office manager

  • Ability to manage multiple installation projects while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; able to interact effectively with all types of people inside and outside of the company
