Job description

The beautiful and historic Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced and motivated individual for the position of Maintenance Engineer at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills, a strong proficiency in multi-tasking with exceptional hospitality and guest service skills.
โ€ข Assist with maintaining hotel, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
โ€ข Replace air conditioner filters.
โ€ข Tend furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
โ€ข Maintain standards of quality guest service.
โ€ข Tend to pool area including chemical balancing, cleaning, etc.
โ€ข Increase level of guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product through employee development.
โ€ข Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
Requirements
โ€ข Minimum lifting of 70 pounds.
โ€ข Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
โ€ข Hearing, writing, typing.
โ€ข Minimum pulling of 70 pounds.
โ€ข Other duties may be assigned.
Additional responsibilities specific to you are:
โ€ข Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
