Point of Sale (POS) Equipment Test Technician

Position Summary

The POS Equipment Test Technician is responsible for configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and validating Point of Sale (POS) hardware and payment processing devices, including PAX, Ingenico, Verifone, Dejavoo, Clover, Castles Technology, BBPOS, ID TECH, and other payment acceptance equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Configure, stage, and test payment terminals and POS equipment.
• Perform transaction testing for EMV, contactless, NFC, debit, credit, and gift card payments.
• Configure and test POS workstations, tablets, printers, cash drawers, barcode scanners, customer displays, and kitchen devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and payment processing issues.
• Maintain documentation and inventory records.
• Prepare equipment for deployment and shipment.
• Ensure compliance with PCI, EMV, and company quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with POS systems and payment processing equipment.
• Experience with PAX, Ingenico, Verifone, Dejavoo, Clover, Castles Technology, BBPOS, ID TECH, or similar devices.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Requirements:
