Job description

Position Summary:

South Country Co-op is seeking a customer-focused and team-oriented Full-Time Gas Bar Supervisor to join our team at the Eagle Butte Gas Bar located off of Highway #1 in Dunmore, Cypress County, AB. Reporting to the Gas Bar/C-Store Manager, the Gas Bar Supervisor plays a key supervisory role in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting a high-performing team.

This position is responsible for assisting in sales, inventory control, merchandising, administrative tasks, and Gas Bar standards. The Supervisor will also perform the duties of a Gas Bar Attendant, including fueling support, operating the POS system, stocking, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide world-class customer service to all guests
  • Supervise daily operations of the Gas Bar, supporting the Gas Bar Manager
  • Assist in inventory control, placing orders, and receiving shipments
  • Operate POS systems and handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately
  • Help with merchandising, stocking, and maintaining clean, organized displays
  • Maintain cleanliness of the Gas Bar, fuel pumps, car wash, and propane station
  • Support the training and onboarding of new team members
  • Ensure all operations follow Co-op policies and safety procedures
  • Perform duties of a Gas Bar Attendant as required
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Educate customers on the benefits of membership in South Country Co-opย 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Minimum 2 years of retail experience, ideally in a convenience or gas station setting
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions and lift up to 30 lbs frequently, and 50 lbs occasionally
  • Strong numeracy skills and ability to operate calculators, POS terminals, and registers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to lead and work in a diverse team environment
  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn in a fast-paced setting
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on team engagement and motivation

Work Schedule:

This position requires full availability, including days, evenings, and weekends.
