Job Summary:
UST Xpanxion is seeking a POS Engineer to assist with the configuration, management, and testing of point of sales systems. The role involves serving as a technical expert in POS technologies to support business and customer integrations.
Responsibilities:
• assist with the system configuration, configuration management, and system testing and production implementation of point of sales systems and/or self-checkout systems
• function as a technical expert related to POS and related technologies to help lead and support the business and specific customer integrations.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification
• 3 - 5+ years of experience configuring, deploying, POS and/or SCO systems
• Knowledge of remote access tools, scripting, and other supportive technologies
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic knowledge of the retail sales industry.
• Knowledge of POS Systems in a retail or hospitality environment.
• Strong communication skills with non-technical personnel.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the willingness to learn from other associates.
• Awareness of project management requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence or persuade others in positive or negative circumstances.
• Ability to manage tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of external systems and payment gateways, and how they interact with the POS.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability and willingness for occasional travel (25% - customer integrations/business meetings and/or training).
