What are POS systems?

POS systems, or Point of Sale systems, are a combination of hardware and software that businesses use to process sales transactions. They typically include features such as inventory management, sales tracking, customer management, and payment processing. Modern POS systems can be cloud-based or installed on-premises and are used in various industries like retail, restaurants, and hospitality. These systems help businesses streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.

Familiarity with major POS platforms (such as Square, NCR, or Toast), payment processing technologies, and database management systems is typically required. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help specialists resolve issues quickly and support users.
