Platform Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with experience in Red Hat OpenShift to join our team. The ideal candidate will play an important role in managing, automating, and improving our cloud infrastructure, with a focus on OpenShift on Azure. You will collaborate closely with the development team of our main customer on OpenShift who has an increasing number of customers for their integration platform. This platform is integrated in our largest IT application and has a global scale.

What you’ll do:
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure in Azure and on-premise environments with focus on Linux.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate infrastructure deployments.
  • Support our largest application of ISS which is connected to multiple internal systems.
  • Monitor system health and performance using monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Check_MK).
  • Define and implement security and infrastructure standards.
  • Optimize infrastructure costs and usage, leveraging cost management tools.
  • Manage and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, network, and application layers.
  • Stay updated on emerging DevOps tools and trends and contribute to process improvements within the team.
Must have:
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role with a focus on cloud infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux administration and several scripting languages (Bash, Python).
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform services and architecture (Subscriptions, Resource Groups, Computing, Networking, Load Balancers, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub or similar.
  • English proficiency, both written and spoken.
Nice have:
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of cost, security, and performance optimization within Azure and Linux systems.
  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
Personal skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of an international team.
  • Experience in customer communication.
